Biography
Prior to starting his own practice, Mr. Bonder served as Counsel in private practice and worked as an in-house attorney for 30 years, primarily as General Counsel to three commercial and multifamily real estate companies.
He served from January 2005 to December 2012 as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of First Potomac Realty Trust, a publicly traded office and business park real estate investment trust (REIT), Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Apartment Investment and Management Company (Aimco), a publicly traded apartment REIT from 1997 to 2002, and Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of National Corporation for Housing Partnerships, a private owner of multifamily housing throughout the United States, and its publicly traded property management company, NHP Incorporated (NHP), from 1994 to 1997.
He held other in-house legal positions with NHP from 1985 to 1994. Mr. Bonder received his JD degree from Washington University School of Law (St. Louis) and is admitted to the bar in the District of Columbia, Massachusetts, and Illinois. He received his BA degree from the University of Rochester.
